Overview
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Class 1 or Class 2 HGV Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient recovery and delivery of different types of vehicles. This role requires strong communication skills, a good understanding of logistics, and the ability to think clearly, sometimes in testing conditions.

Duties

Operate an HGV vehicle for the recovery and transportation of vehicles to various locations.
Ensure all tasks are completed safely and efficiently while adhering to traffic regulations.
Communicate effectively with staff and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues.
Perform pre-trip inspections on the vehicle to ensure it is in good working order.
Provide excellent customer service by representing the company professionally at all times.
Work an alternating shift pattern consisting of Days and Nights, with a requirement for Out of Hours On Call one week in two.
Out of Hours On Call duties paid at an enhanced rate giving you the chance to substantially increase your salary.
Requirements

Valid UK driving licence with a category C or C+E entitlement.
Valid Driver CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence).
Digital Driver Tachograph Card.
Previous experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role is preferred.
Ability to communicate effectively with team members and customers alike.
A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Flexibility with working hours may be required based on delivery schedules.
As part of the onboarding process we will conduct pre employment checks including work references, and criminal records checks.
