Full job description
Drivers Direct Recruitment are looking to recruit experienced HGV 1 DRIVERS for a variety of clients across West Yorkshire.

Driver can advised when they are available to work and the type of work they are looking for and we will do our best to match your requirements.

We are looking for drivers that can work:

Days / Nights
Monday to Friday
Weekends
Drivers looking for weekend work or shifts Wednesday to Saturday with overnights may have the opportunity for regular work
Varying start times depending on client needs
Salary:

£14.27ph – £20.03 depending on client and shift PLUS holiday pay
Minimum pay 8 hours per shift ( Some Saturday work if running in after a night out will be paid minimum 4 hours ).
The Role:

Trunking
Multidrop
Curtainsiders, containers or flatbed work
Some roles may involve working with a driver’s mate
Some roles may include overnights ( if drivers available )
Duties/Responsibilities:

Carrying out relevant daily vehicle safety checks and reporting as per Operational Procedures.
Ensure all delivery and collections are carried out in accordance with company procedures.
To deliver & collect to customers in a safe and professional manner.
To complete all work related paperwork in full and hand in at the end of the shift.
Essential Skills:

Be able to work on own initiative
Must hold a valid HGV 1 / Cat CE licence for 2 years plus
Must hold a valid driver qualification (CPC) card.
Must hold a valid Digital tacho card.
Good communication skills.
Good customer relations.
Have a safe driving record.
A minimum of 24 months’ experience as a Class 1 driver
No more than 6 minor penalty points due to insurance stipulations.
No DR’s, IN’s or DD’s offence codes due to insurance stipulations.
