Full job description
Drivers Direct Recruitment are looking to recruit a Class 2 Tramper Driver on behalf of our client to join their team in Stockton.

THIS IS A TEMP-PERM ROLE. – guaranteed perm contract.

Driver would be employed by agency for 13 weeks, then would become permanent with client.

Hours of work:

Days Monday to Friday with odd Saturday run in or run out the occasional Sunday.
Tramping
Drivers do need to be flexible with tramping and start times.
Salary:

£12.80 per hrs PAYE plus £1.55 per hour holiday accrual.
The same wage when you go with client rising around 50p April 1st tbc.
Nights out paid tax free at £25.00 per night.
The Role:

Day shifts
General Haulage / pallets
Curtain Siders
Strapping (knowledge essential)
Handball may be required
Central London driving so must be experienced
Minimum 40hrs per week but it will be much more
28 days holiday including bank holidays
Duties/Responsibilities:

Carrying out relevant daily vehicle safety checks and reporting as per Operational Procedures.
Ensure all delivery and collections are carried out in accordance with company procedures.
To deliver & collect to customers in a safe and professional manner.
To complete all work related paperwork in full and hand in at the end of the shift.
Essential Skills:

Must hold a valid HGV 2 / Cat C licence for a minimum of 6 months.
Must have at least 60 days’ worth of driving showing on digital tacho card.
Must hold a valid driver qualification (CPC) card.
Must hold a valid Digital tacho card.
No more than 6 minor penalty points due to insurance stipulations.
No DR’s, IN’s or DD’s offence codes due to insurance stipulations.
