Donegal Waste & Recycle are recruiting for full-time HGV Mechanic. This role will be based in Donegal Town

Our fleet of Heavy Goods Vehicles (HGVs) is central to our operations, and we are seeking a skilled HGV Mechanic to join our team to ensure the reliability and performance of our vehicles.

Responsibilities:

Conduct routine maintenance and servicing of HGVs to ensure optimal performance and compliance with safety regulations.

Day to day running repairs
Carrying out 12 week inspections,
General Servicing and oil changes,
Preparing for CVRT testing
Diagnosing faults and malfunctions,
Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Maintain accurate records of work performed and parts used.
Collaborate with the operations team to schedule maintenance and minimize vehicle downtime.
Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with health and safety regulations.
The Ideal candidate will have:

Proven experience as an HGV Mechanic or similar role.
Ability to use diagnostic tools and equipment effectively.
Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Valid driver’s license; HGV license is a plus.
HGV and Trailer mechanical experience
