Job Title: Class 1 HGV Driver
Location: Whitham and Surrounding Areas
Salary: Up to £22.00 p/h
Job Type: Agency Work

Job Summary

We are seeking experienced HGV Class 1 Container Drivers to join our team in Whitham. The role involves transporting trailers to and from the yard to the customer.

This is an excellent opportunity for a professional driver looking for steady work with a respected transport operator..

Key Responsibilities

Safely operate Class 1 (LGV C+E) vehicles for container transport
Ensure trailers are correctly loaded, secured, and delivered
Carry out daily vehicle checks (tyres, brakes, oil, etc.)
Accurately complete paperwork and delivery records
Communicate effectively with the transport office and customers
Comply with UK driving regulations and Working Time Directive
Plan and manage driver hours, including legal rest breaks
Requirements

Valid Class 1 (LGV C+E) licence
Up-to-date Driver CPC
Experience in HGV driving (multi-drop preferred)
Strong understanding of UK road laws and safe driving practices
Good time management and customer service skills
Ability to complete basic vehicle maintenance checks
