Full job description
DDA Haulage LTD is currently recruiting a HGV 1 Class 1 port driver based in Purfleet.

You will be working Monday to Friday – No weekends.

Responsibilities:
– Safely and efficiently operate a truck to various locations
– Follow all traffic laws and regulations while driving
– Deliver unattended trailers to locations
– Inspect the truck before and after each trip to ensure it is in good working condition
– Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel usage, and any incidents or delays
– Communicate with dispatchers and customers to coordinate delivery schedules and address any issues that may arise

Skills:
– C+E License entitlement, CPC and Digi Tacho with no more than 6 points (no DD or major endorsements)
– Proven experience as a delivery driver or truck driver
– Ability to drive various types of trucks
– Strong knowledge of commercial driving regulations and safety protocols
– Excellent time management skills to ensure timely deliveries

– Minimum 2 years experience of driving a HGV 1 Class 1 in the UK

– Must have 2 years experience of working as a HGV 1 Class 1 driver within a port

– Must have good communication skills
