About the Role

We provide the truck, but you should have a clean driving record and an HGV Class 1 driving

Job Title: HGV Class 1 Driver
Job Types: Permanent Full-time / Part-time
Salary: Competitive; Paid weekly

HGV Driver Benefits
Driver is NOT required to assist with any unloading/loading.
Driving state-of-the-art trucks with full safety systems installed.
Driving only from fulfillment centre to fulfillment centre
Traction work only– drop/swap trailers.
On average 3 swaps per shift, working with boxed trailers only

HGV Driver Requirements
Hold a valid commercial Driving License with the Correct Categories C+E
Have a Professional Driving Qualification called the Full Driver Certificate of Professional Competence
Hold a Digital Tachograph / Smart Card
Pass a background check (see below) to the extent it is permitted by the applicable law
Pass a standard drug and alcohol test (see below) to the extent it is permitted by the applicable law
Be able to speak & read English satisfactorily
Have a maximum of 6 penalty points on the Driver’s License (as well as no DD, DR, or IN endorsements)
Approved drivers will be drivers with BGC results as “Meets Requirements” and drug and alcohol tests with negative results.

HGV Driver Responsibilities
Use route navigation apps and knowledge of the area to deliver trailers to fulfilment centres
Interact with stakeholders in a professional manner
Complete daily maintenance checks on delivery trucks and notify manager of any issues
Drive in inclement weather, such as light snow Maintain electronic logs to track routes and deliveries

Shift Patterns
4 and 5-day shifts patterns available
Average shift length 8 – 12 hours
Morning / Afternoon / Night shifts available
Permanent Role – Full time / Part-time
