About Us

We sell and deliver landscaping supplies, using HGV’s with either a HIAB or a vehicle mounted forklift truck, within a radius of approximately 60 miles of High Wycombe. We are a family business that has continued to grow over the last thirty years, due to its committed and hard working staff. Every employee is an essential part of the chain from when an order is placed to when it is delivered and we continue to strive to show recognition, as well as appreciation for this. We now need to find further determined and reliable additions to our existing team of highly skilled drivers, who can become equally able to help us to continue our success.

About the Role

The Drivers are responsible for ensuring the customer deliveries are completed safely, accurately and on-time, as well as contributing where possible to the continued improvement of the service. In addition, when necessary, they will assist the yard teams with loading the trucks for subsequent runs.

Key Responsibilities

To drive with consideration and care, in accordance with the Highway Code and training received.
To comply with legislation regarding vehicle safety, tachograph operation and working time regulations.
To check the load is correct to delivery documents for each delivery run, and is safely secure.
To take responsibility for the condition and security of the vehicle, and ensure it is kept in a clean, tidy and roadworthy state.
To follow any special instructions pertaining to an individual order or delivery.
To collect the delivery and signature documentation for delivery runs.
Act as an ambassador for the company, providing a high standard of customer care and politeness at all times.
About you

Minimum HGV Class 2 licence
Experience of driving HIAB
Ideally experience with multi-drop deliveries, e.g. approx. 6 drops per run
Have a personable approach with customers, many of whom you’ll likely to get to know by name
Be resilient enough to meet challenges and obstacles with a positive, problem solving attitude in order to overcome them.
Experience of using lorry mounted forklift or cranes.
Can use knowledge and experience to be as productive as possible, whilst keeping to the transport rules and law
Takes pride in doing a great job
Need to be reliable, calm and able to work under pressure
Role Details

Christmas/New Year shutdown
Weekday, daytime deliveries only, Normal driving hours 7am-5pm
8am – 12.30pm Every other Saturday, non driving

Key Skills & Experience Required

Minimum HGV Class 2 licence
