Counterparty Credit Infrastructure & Capital (CCIC) is a global private side group with a presence in London, Hong Kong and New York, and forms part of the Credit Risk Management.  CCIC develops, coordinates and oversees infrastructure, stress testing and exposure methodology globally for derivatives, securities financing and other traded products, and provides expertise and oversight for their Basel credit risk capital.  It addition, CCIC includes Credit Portfolio Solutions (CPS), with the teams covering new derivatives, securities financing and other traded products for clients of the CIB.
 
Role
This role sits within the Wholesale Credit Risk Reporting & Middle office (WCRRMO) organization specifically in CCIC Middle Office supporting the CCIC team in managing the Gauss exposure controls for Derivatives, Securities Financing and F&O products.
 
CCIC Middle Office is seeking a London based Associate candidate to support all aspects of Counterparty Credit Infrastructure & Capital controls including supporting the stakeholder in performing variance analysis to identify data quality issues for the firmwide CCAR regulatory submissions.  The candidate will also be actively engaged in various projects to identify efficiencies within the existing infrastructure controls and partner with various stakeholders in designing new strategic controls.  The position will partner closely with other functional areas across Credit Risk, Operations and Technology to effectively execute on these critical deliverables.
 
 
Job Responsibilities:
 

Centre of expertise on counterparty credit exposure as well as stress testing, directing and overseeing deep-dive analysis at the portfolio, product and legal entity level for risk management

Executing various Gauss controls across the Credit and Capital runs across multiple products to identify and escalate data quality issues to the various stakeholders

Identify and implement methods for improved operational efficiency and productivity

Participate in the planning, prioritization and development of Gauss and Stress framework, including interface with associated E2E delivery to Credit Risk Infrastructure (CRI) systems related to counterparty credit exposure and stress testing.

Develop strong partnerships with other functional areas to gain understanding strategic key risk management initiatives, underlying business drivers and issues relevant to Counterparty Credit Infrastructure and Capital

Quarterly CCAR Control checks on OTC Derivatives and F&OQualifications:

Minimum three years professional experience with at least 1-2 years within banking or related financial services

Knowledge of traded products relating to credit exposure, risk sensitivity and stress testing preferred

Relevant experience such as credit or market risk management, stress testing or supporting functions is a plus

Strong analytical and quantitative skills; must be very good with Excel with ability to summarize and interpret results from a large quantity of data

Thoroughness and attention to detail, high level of accuracy

Excellent problem solving skills and ability to think creatively and offer solutions around tactical and strategic remediation

Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to partner closely with peers and senior management across geographical locations

Self starter, strong initiative, ability to take ownership and work independently to deliver quality results under high pressure and tight deadlines

Strong time management skills and comfort with dynamically shifting priorities, timelines and demands

Ability to be a team player and help drive consensus at broader forums on a shared agenda
