AD-HOC HGV / 7.5 TONNE DRIVER WANTED – OXFORDSHIRE

£15.00 per hour + expenses

We are looking for a reliable HGV / 7.5 tonne driver to join our team on an ad-hoc basis, helping to move our mobile catering kitchen trucks to and from film, TV, event and construction locations around the UK.

About Us

We are an established, family-run location catering company with over 30 years’ experience providing catering for film and television productions, events and large-scale projects across the UK. We operate our own fleet of purpose-built mobile catering kitchens and support vehicles.

The Role

This is a flexible, ad-hoc position rather than a fixed-hours role. Work will be offered as and when our catering kitchens need moving between our Oxfordshire base, locations and garages.

Duties will include:

Driving our 7.5 tonne mobile kitchen trucks to and from locations
Collecting and returning vehicles to our Oxfordshire base
Taking vehicles to and from garages for inspections, servicing, maintenance and repairs
Carrying out the required driver/vehicle checks
Ensuring vehicles are driven safely and responsibly
Working flexibly around production and location schedules
What We’re Looking For

Applicants must:

Hold the appropriate entitlement to drive a 7.5 tonne vehicle (C1) – including drivers who retain C1 grandfather rights
Have a valid driving licence and be confident driving larger vehicles
Be reliable, punctual and flexible
Be comfortable with occasional early starts, late finishes and longer-distance journeys
Ideally be based within reasonable travelling distance of Bicester, Oxfordshire
Pay: £15.00 per hour + agreed expenses

This could suit an experienced HGV driver looking for additional occasional work, or someone with C1 entitlement who would like flexible driving work alongside other commitments.
