About the role:

We are looking for a Night Supervisor for our Doncaster Transport office. As the Night Operations Supervisor you will be responsible for overseeing a number of responsibilities listed below.

Key responsibilities:

·Update internal diary system of daily movements.

·Allocation of vehicles and personnel.

·Track & Trace of company assets and personnel.

·Briefing and debriefing drivers.

·Dealing with customer queries.

·Customer service, answering calls, update of spreadsheets/emails and CRM systems.

·Complete all required administration work.

·Processing POD’s and necessary documents.

·Brief and dispatch of drivers, complete all legal required checks on drivers.

·Complete trailer checks and vehicle inspections where necessary.

·Disciplining drivers and monitoring WTD.

·Collaborate with other departments to identify opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices.

·Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) related to dispatch operations and implement improvements to enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction.

·Resolve any delivery-related issues, such as delays, discrepancies, or customer complaints, in a timely and professional manner.

·Implement and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for dispatch operations.

The ideal candidate must have:

·Previous experience in liaising with and managing drivers.

·Customer Service experience in Operations and Logistics.

·Be able to work well under pressure.

·Capable of multi-tasking and making quick decisions.

·Computer literate to include Excel/Word/Outlook and spreadsheets.

·Be resourceful and organised.

·Have the desire to learn and develop your skills.

·Have a proactive can-do attitude.

·Sound knowledge of transportation regulations, safety protocols, and best practices.

Preferred but not essential:

·Have a Class 1 HGV license

·Familiar with RoadTech sytems: Tachomaster, Pre-Drive, RoadRunner
