Our business
J.P. Morgan has the leading Global Credit Trading business in terms of volume traded, issuers traded and investor relationships. J.P. Morgan Global Credit Trading offers first-class, highly integrated financial services to a global client base and provides financial assets and liquidity for banks, insurance companies, finance companies, mutual funds and hedge funds. Traders, salespeople and research analysts work collectively to generate ideas and make secondary markets and proprietary investments in high grade bonds/CDS, high yield bonds/CDS, distressed bonds, trade claims, indices, flow exotics, and illiquids. The business has generated substantial SVA in the last couple of years
The Credit eCommerce Business & Strategy team is a dedicated group within the Credit Trading business that is responsible for partnering with the sales, trading and structuring business leads and Technology partners to oversee the development and execution of business, technology and platform strategic objectives. The Team supports the Global Credit Markets business globally in the following key ways:
Tech/Platform Strategy: Partnering with business sponsors to convert business strategy and priorities into platform requirements including the development of a platform/technology roadmap and well defined deliverables with associated alignment of technology investment spend. This will at times include providing hands on product management for specific business initiatives covering end-to-end product design and delivery
Technology Execution & Governance: Defining and oversee technology governance programs for the business to ensure delivery against agreed roadmaps and supporting project execution risk and issue resolution
Technology Prioritization: Developing business cases for technology investments as part of the annual budget process and on a continual basis via the monthly Credit Tech Council. Overseeing technology prioritization on an on-going basis through recurring weekly, monthly etc. business/technology governance forums to ensure alignment of technology spend with business priorities
Innovation & Productivity: Defining the business strategy as it relates to Fin/Emerging technologies and partnering with Technology and internal Fintech Strategy Teams to execute on this agenda including identifying key companies to partner with and engagement channels (i.e. investment, POC’, licensing, mentoring etc.).
Product Development: Responsibility for taking an idea from inception to delivery of a best in class product including product definition and support solutions and partnering with Trading and Sales to prioritize client feedback and help define end solutions based on business requirements and the Credit eTrading landscape/architecture
Opportunity
We are looking for a Vice President level resource to join the Credit eCommerce Business & Strategy Team to support the EMEA Credit Markets Franchise and our Global Credit Sales partners. The franchise covers the following key areas for the Credit Markets business:
Sales/Trading Dashboard Initiatives: Deliver a cohesive ecosystem, empowering Trading and Sales globally through fully integrated connectivity and interoperability, combined with next generation analytics and visualization tools.
Operational Efficiency including Trade Processing Platforms/Initiatives: systems and platforms that support pre and post-trade services for Credit products
Regulatory Programs: systems and platforms that support compliance with legal and regulatory obligations including pre and post-trade regulatory reporting and front office supervision systems for Credit products
Data& Analytics: tactical/strategic platforms used by the desks for trading/client analytics including the underlying data infrastructure
The role will have extensive interaction with the global and regional business leads for the Credit Markets business units, technology leads for the major Credit platforms, Operations & QR stakeholders together with business managers and Tech Strategy Team partners. This role will be based in London and will involve some global travel as and when necessary.Skills & Qualifications

Proven background in the development of business strategy and the ability to convert this into actionable programs of work and deliverables for execution
Experience interacting with senior level business sponsors and proven influencing skills to support as well as challenge business views
Strong team player with a proven ability to function within a high energy and tempo environment that is heavily delivery focused
Able to demonstrate knowledge and appreciation of system architecture and technology capabilities from both a tactical and strategic viewpoint with specific experience with platforms used to support Credit products
Extensive and deep product knowledge in Credit Markets, detailed operational and or technology experience supporting the Credit Markets business is essential
Extensive experience working in financial institutions, preferably Investment Banks, mandatoryThis role encompasses the performance of UK regulated activity. The successful candidate will therefore be subject to meeting UK regulatory requirements in the assessment of fitness, propriety, knowledge and competence (as assessed by the Firm) and (where appropriate) approval by the UK Financial Conduct Authority and/or the Prudential Regulation Authority to carry out such activities.
