Scope of the Role:
Equities F&BM is seeking a VP level Business Manager, based in London. As part of the Equities Business Management Team the successful candidate will partner closely with the other Equities BMs in support of the Global Equities franchise. The role will involve significant exposure to the front office and extensive interaction with senior management, including support of the head of Global Equities and the Global Equities Business Manager. The role will report into the senior Equities Regional Business Manager (based in London) as well as interaction and responsibilities with other Senior Regional Business Managers in both US and APAC.
Responsibilities include:
Act as trusted advisor and counterweight to Trading Head and their management team.
Provide management assistance, for instance by convening business reviews, management meetings, offsites
Communicate the business strategy and priorities through internal management and external regulatory presentations (in conjunction with the Global Business Manager)
Ensure delivery of business initiatives and projects – provide overall governance across multiple initiatives and track progress through key metrics
Contribute to strategic initiatives by supporting regional and cross-business partnerships
Ensure business strategy considers market structure and regulatory changes
Analyze competitive analysis and reporting (in conjunction with PnA team)
Align front office teams and support groups (Fin, Tech, Ops, Legal, HR) to business priorities, for example regulatory agenda
Partner with the business and technology to establish and implement the product/technology strategy
Work closely with the business to optimize RWA and balance sheet usage as well as considering the impact on Liquidity, Leverage Ratio and other regulatory constraintsQualifications / Skill set / experience required:
Preferred experience in a related business function: Business Management, Middle Office, Trading Technology, Market Structure and/or Equities Trading.
Knowledge could include but not be limited to:
Understanding of front-to-back best practices for Equities
Knowledge in information technology within financial institutions
Operations and general administration experience on a regional or global level
Understanding of legal and compliance requirements for financial institutions Core Skills required:
Excellent communication skills with strong English fluency (written and spoken)
Ability to work with details while not sacrificing the overall business big picture
Ability to identify and implement best-practices operations
Strategic with good business acumen
Team orientated, with the ability to fit into a small, focused and successful management team

Presents well to senior and global business headsAll internal moves will normally take place on the same grade and same salary. Salaries are reviewed annually in February. Exceptions to the rule regarding transfer on current salary may include a move between geographic locations.
