Finance & Business Management’s goals are to ensure sound control environments and provide financial advice to support the business strategy. Within F&BM, the Planning & Analysis team is responsible for supporting the business across diverse stripes – Budget, Forecast, Expenses, town hall and offsite preparation, Analytics and CCAR.
We are looking for a high performing individual to own and enhance the operating model governing the Federal Reserve-mandated Comprehensive Capital Analysis & Review (“CCAR”) submission for part of the Markets business (Macro, Spreads, or Equities & Financing) within Corporate & Investment Bank (“CIB”).
The individual will partner extensively with colleagues within the CIB including, Business Management, CIB Treasury Controllers and the Planning & Analysis Analytics team. Additionally they will be responsible for presenting our assessment and findings to the Business, Markets CFO and the Corporate Capital Stress Testing team.
Responsibilities will include:
Becoming an expert in the Firm’s regulatory CCAR requirements and processes as they relate to the activity
Performing detailed analytics of NII, NIR, Balance Sheet and RWA drivers for both actual and projected activity supplemented by business insight into market and economic variables
Partnering with the business/front office in order to drive improvements to the current stress forecasting process
Owning the CCAR segment narrative as it relates to this activity including overview of activity, framework on which assessment is based and key drivers involved in forecasting
Designing and implementing a revised operating model which will integrate the CCAR methodologies into business as usual including reporting of actuals and forecastingThe position offers good visibility into the core drivers of this activity within the Firm as well as the opportunity to implement lasting change within the organization.
Skills Required:
The candidate must be a self starter who is able to work in a fast paced, results driven environment
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or related
Minimum of 6+ years of experience, ideally Product Control, Project Management and/or Model-related function (development or review)
Solid product knowledge of at least one of the key Markets businesses (Equities, Macro, Spreads, Financing)
Knowledge of balance sheet, income statement and basic accounting concepts
Ability to work effectively, meet challenging deadlines and to work under pressure
Analytical and quantitative aptitude – ability to identify and solve problems independently
Strong interpersonal skills and good communication skills
Strong relationship building with proven experience of collaborating with and influencing others across functions and product and locations
Control mindset (ability to identify and close control gaps and/or issues)
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
