Overview:
Associate will work as a part of the Corporate & Investment Bank (CIB) event marketing team, focusing on strategic direction and content delivery of Markets franchise client events for EMEA, as well as managing aspects of larger events in the U.S. and across the globe.  Marketer will work with manager and colleagues on all work related to any event responsibilities. The job demands interaction and partnership with colleagues in the EMEA events team, cross line-of-business marketing teams, bankers, product partners and senior management.  The marketer will be assisting senior marketers in developing strategic event marketing plans and protocol, joining project work streams, and creating ad hoc reporting. The marketer will support other team members on larger events as well as managing his/her own events. The goals are to help the CIB increase client business/deepen existing client relationships, create and drive efficiencies for all internal partners and maintain J.P. Morgan brand standard in all events.   
 
The role reports to the EMEA Co-Head of Markets Events.
  
Event Planning responsibilities include:

Understand target audiences and assist senior marketers in developing and implementing an event strategy that supports business goals

Collaborate with event manager and other marketing teams on event data and analysis and assist in the development and reconciliation of event budgets

Liaise with other J.P. Morgan lines of business, in order to leverage and consolidate ideas, shared resources and cross sell event opportunities

List management and registration management for franchise client events

Function as a leader and integral part of the team

Understand and recognize important business relationships within the Firm,  ability to answer inquiries on events, and direct inquiries to the proper individuals or departments

Assist in the development of event agendas with coverage bankers/business point including, but not limited to, interaction with internal and external speakers and panelists, entertainment and venue research, audio visual requirements, briefing memos, internal or external announcements, invitations, biographies, speaker introductions

Some administrative and production responsibilities (invoice processing; invitation creation; pre-event tasks – nametags, place cards, menu cards, seating, taking RSVPs, etc.; on-site staffing and support) Qualifications
 
Skills required:

A minimum of three to five years prior events and/or marketing experience preferably with a financial firm; experience with cross-asset Markets products a plus

Must think strategically; identifies issues and finds a reasonable solution

Must be able to multi-task and work under tight deadlines

Excellent oral and written communications skills

High levels of detail orientation; proofreading skills

Ability to work late hours and travel

Proficiency in Excel, Word & Power Point; some working knowledge of Access preferred
