CFS Liquidity & Trading Services is a group of businesses that provide a range of services to its Institutional clients. The exposures of the business relate the various ways that JP Morgan provides financing, liquidity, and trading services to these clients.  The Custody & Fund Services Department is part of the Corporate and Investment Bank (“CIB”), and Exposure Management is an in-business team responsible for the exposure management & risk/reward analysis of all businesses under CFS Liquidity & Trading Services.
 
Job Description
 
The VP/ED will be responsible for covering the exposures of the Global CFS Liquidity & Trading Services group with a primary focus on the EMEA business.  CFS Liquidity & Trading Services consists of a group of businesses that are responsible for facilitating different aspects of client activity.  These activities range from client flow, to cash liquidity management, to market making, deal structuring & include:

Securities Lending Desk

Liquidity Management

Collateral Management (Securities & Derivative)

Depository Receipts & ADR/ORD market making

FX Custody

Cash and Liquidity Markets (CALM)
 
These activities are conducted in most regions and cover instrument types that include securities lending transactions, repo style transactions, short-term interest rate products, cash securities, derivative instruments, FX products, & money market funds. Responsibilities

Develop a healthy risk culture with the desk that fosters the sharing of information, awareness of firm policies, and an intuitive sense of what should be escalated

Review proposed trades, participate in client prospect meetings, & ensure sufficiently capitalized for the exposures taken in each transaction. (Risk/Reward reviews across the desks)

Manage multiple projects focused on development and continued improvement of exposure reporting and processes.

Monitor and analyze market trends and movements, relate them to the desk’s activities, be vocal and share those observations and opinions with the global team

Ensure compliance with the mandate set for the Custody & Fund Services trading services desks including Contingent Market Risks, Basis Risks, Fiduciary Risks, Credit Risks, Liquidity Risks, and Operational Risks

Daily review of the trading desk’s exposures, significant changes, compliance with risk limits, and stress results.

Communicate regularly with the Trading Desks, Product colleagues, Quant Research, Risk Management, Product Control, Credit Risk Officers, Product Development, and TechnologyRequirements

Experience in Risk Management, Exposure Management, Product, or Trading Desk experience

In-depth knowledge of various securities and local markets including how these instruments are impacted by various market factors

Strong project management, relationship building, presentation, written and oral communication skills

Ability to multi-task and prioritize, works well in a team environment

Strong quantitative background and understanding of risk modeling

Ability to troubleshoot model outputs (sensitivity, stress, etc.), process large amounts of data efficiently, and understand the context and implication of the workThis role encompasses the performance of UK regulated activity. The successful candidate will therefore be subject to meeting UK regulatory requirements in the assessment of fitness, propriety, knowledge and competence (as assessed by the Firm) and (where appropriate) approval by the UK Financial Conduct Authority and/or the Prudential Regulation Authority to carry out such activities.
