HGV Class 2 Night Driver – Derby

Based at: Chillway Express Specials Ltd
Location: Yusen Logistics – A38 Derby
Available Hours: Permanent – Flexible Nights – Approx. 1:30 AM Start – Up to 40 hours available more can be offered
Salary: £13.75 per hour

We’re currently seeking a professional and dedicated HGV Class 2 Driver to join our team, operating from our Derby base. Whether you prefer a few nights per week or full-time hours, we’re happy to be flexible with your schedule.

About the role

As one of our trusted night drivers, you will:

Begin your shift around 1:30 AM (varying start time )
Carry out multi-drop runs
Operate in a safe, professional, and compliant manner
Complete all necessary paperwork and checks
Represent Chillway with a friendly and helpful attitude
Who we’re looking for

Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence
Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
A minimum of 2 years HGV driving experience required
Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious
Willingness to work nights and flexible days
Committed to professional standards and Chillway’s service values

We are looking for owner-drivers, fleet owners, and HGV drivers (Class 1 or 2) based anywhere in the UK and interested in taking the next step up and becoming owner-operators and transport company owners. To get started and apply for an Operator’s Licence, you need to have £8,000 which is a requirement of the UK and EU transport regulations (you won’t spend it).
