Due to continued growth,our client requires HGV Class 2 to join the team in Newton- le-Willows

You will be responsible for delivering goods to customers at various locations throughout the country whilst adhering to all legal and safety requirements.

Knowledge and experience required:

Hold an LGV C+E licence with an up to date CPC qualification
Good working knowledge of EU drivers hours and regulations
Excellent communication skills and a professional attitude
Minimum 1 years class 2 driving experience in the UK
No more than 6 points and no live major endorsements (DR10)
Job duties:

To complete customer deliveries on time and collect backloads for delivery
Ensuring loads are strapped safely and securely
Ensuring daily vehicle checks are completed and any defects reported
Responsible for keeping the transport department updated of any issues
Have a can do attitude
Be customer focused to ensure the best service is delivered
Rates of pay / Shift patterns:

Day shift: £13 per hour or £14.75 with holiday pay

Night shift: £13.50 per hour or £15.32 with holiday pay

You need to present:

· Valid driver’s licence and a clean driving record with no traffic violations

· Valid CPC and Digi-Tacho cards

· Good communication and teamwork skills

· The knowledge and initiative to solve basic problems and make routine decisions

· The ability to complete paperwork in an orderly fashion

· Strong organisational and prioritisation skills

· No more than 6 points on your licence with no major endorsements (DR10, IN10, CU80, TT99, CD10)
