Location: Newport, Cardiff, Swansea – Multi Drop
Hours: 4 days out of 7 shift pattern – 40 hours per week
Start: Immediate

As we continue to expand into new markets, introduce new product ranges, and strengthen our service, reliability on the road and attention to detail have never been more important.
We’re now looking for a dependable and detail-focused Driver to join our team and help ensure our products reach customers safely, on time, and to the high standard Brace’s is known for.
Purpose of Role
To make and deliver customer orders as per customer delivery note and to deliver customer’s daily order in a professional manner making sure the quality of the product is kept whilst being delivered.
Key Role Accountabilities
· Ensure you are wearing full company uniform on the start of every shift including steel toe cap footwear and a Hi-Viz vest as per Health and Safety requirements.
· Adhere to your allocated bay and bay start time unless authorised by Transport Manager.
· On the start of each shift all round checks must be completed on the vehicle which you are about to drive, and any fault must be recorded on your Driver Call Sheet and any other relevant defect sheet and report to the duty Transport Manager before departure.
· It is the drivers’ responsibility to ensure that the load for that day corresponds with the bulk order sheets before leaving the depot and leaving the pink ticket in your pigeonhole. Stack baskets and wheels leaving your workspace on the bay must be clean and tidy before you depart.
· The Vehicle Inspection sheet should be signed before you depart on your route. If sheet is not signed, then you will be responsible for any damage on your return and disciplined.
· All deliveries are made to customer requirements as per delivery note and making sure that the product is received in its best possible condition and all customers are treated with utmost respect and professionalism.
· Ensure all paperwork is signed and any Pod’s required are returned without fail on a daily basis and all empty baskets collected.
· When driving a company vehicle adhere to all Road Traffic Acts and ensure safe transportation of all company products.
· Ensure your own and other people’s Health and Safety when working out and around your vehicle when delivering to customer premises ensuring a safe and secure load whilst in transit with the back door closed.
· On completion of your shift and all driver duties completed it is the driver’s responsibility to leave the vehicle clean and tidy and fully refuelled for the oncoming shift.
· All accidents must be reported, and all documentation completed on return to the depot.
· Weekly Digital card download.
· You must speak to your Frontline Manager regarding absentees so a plan can be made to cover your shift (Text message is not acceptable).
· You may be required to undertake various other duties as may be reasonably required of you.
Communication
· To liaise with all departments including, dispatch, food safety and the Team Leader/Shift Manager as required to ensure the impact of activity in the slicing hall is understood.
Training
· To undertake training as required to update knowledge and experience and/or according to industry and business needs.
Quality
· Ensure all products leaving the factory comply with the standards laid down by the company.
Hygiene
· Ensure area of work or vehicle is maintained in a hygienic manner.
· Adhere to all hygiene policies and procedures.
· Complete all documentation required for the Company Hygiene Procedures.
· Carryout shift hygiene risk assessments.
Cleanliness
· Ensuring that all working practices are in line with the company procedures.
· Monitor the cleanliness of the distribution area and vehicles.
Health & Safety
· Ensure the compliance to all company Health and Safety Procedures.
· Ensure the adherence to Statutory Regulations and Legislation that affect the production of food.
Food Safety
· Ensure all activities in the area are carried out in accordance with Food Safety Procedures.
· Ensure high standards of housekeeping adopting the ‘clean as you go’ approach.
Key Skills and Accountabilities
· Good under pressure.
· Good communication skills.
· Understanding of In-House Systems and Procedures.
· Able to work to deadlines.
· Speed, accuracy, and attention to detail.
· Good customer service skills.
