Barker Ross are currently seeking a skilled and experienced HGV 1 Concrete Driver to work for our client in Ilkeston who are a busy Precast factory. As an HGV 1 Concrete Driver. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our concrete delivery services.

Responsibilities
Safely and efficiently operate a HGV 1 vehicle to transport concrete on Precast sites.
Load and unload concrete using the appropriate machinery and equipment.
Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving on public roads.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including delivery receipts and mileage logs.
Communicate effectively with customers and colleagues to coordinate delivery schedules.
Collaborate with the concrete production team to ensure an adequate supply of concrete for upcoming deliveries.

Requirements:
Hold a valid HGV 1 (Class 1) driving license.
Minimum of 2 years’ experience driving HGV 1 vehicles, preferably in the construction industry
Excellent driving skills, with a strong emphasis on safety and efficiency
Knowledge of relevant traffic laws and regulations
Ability to operate and maintain concrete delivery machinery and equipment.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Good organisational and time management abilities
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Flexibility to work during weekends and evenings, as needed.
Physically fit and able to lift heavy objects.
Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in documentation.
