About the Role

Awesome Construction, a leading construction company, is looking for an experienced HGV Driver to join our team in Ashford. You will be responsible for driving a rigid flatbed lorry to transport materials safely and efficiently between our construction sites. This is a hands-on role requiring professionalism, reliability, and a strong commitment to safety.

Key Responsibilities

Safely operate a rigid HGV flatbed lorry (over 7.5 tons) on construction site routes.
Transport construction materials between sites according to schedule.
Work independently on deliveries while collaborating with the wider site team.
Adhere to all Health & Safety regulations and company procedures.
Maintain your vehicle in roadworthy condition and report any issues promptly.
Requirements

Valid HGV driving license and CPC license.
Proven experience as an HGV driver, ideally within the construction sector.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety.
Self-employed status.
Eligible to work in the UK.
Ability to provide two professional trade references prior to starting work on site.

We are looking for owner-drivers, fleet owners, and HGV drivers (Class 1 or 2) based anywhere in the UK and interested in taking the next step up and becoming owner-operators and transport company owners. To get started and apply for an Operator’s Licence, you need to have £8,000 which is a requirement of the UK and EU transport regulations (you won’t spend it). We can help you with the rest of the process.
