This is a rewarding opportunity to work as a HGV Class 1 Driver over the winter season for one of our major clients based in and around the Langley Area. If you have experience within this field and are looking for a new opportunity to work for a reputable company, then this is the job for you.
The salary of the HGV Class 1 Driver will range between:
£16.56ph – £17.96ph on PAYE
£17.56ph – £18.96ph via umbrella or Self Employed
As a HGV Class 1 Driver your responsibilities will be;
Load and unload goods onto and off the vehicles
Transporting parcels and packages to various destinations as instructed
Checking and maintaining all goods on the vehicles
Carrying out regular checks on your vehicles and ensures fit for use
Ensuring Tacho readings are accurate and submitted on time
The ideal HGV Class 1 Driver will;
Have at least 24 months experience driving Class 1 vehicles in the UK.
Have experience as a Class 1 Driver, HGV Driver, Lorry Driver, Heavy Goods Vehicle Driver, LGV C+E, C+E Driver or CE Driver
Hold an LGV C+E Licence for 2+ years
Have a digital tachograph card
Be flexible with hours to meet the demands of the business
Have 3 no more than points on your licence
In order to be successful as a HGV Class 1 Driver you must be able to provide a 5 year checkable employment history and apply for a basic criminal record check at your own expense.

CONTRACT HAULAGE WORK AVAILABLE ALL YEAR ROUND FOR OWNER-DRIVERS AND FLEET OWNERS WITH RIGID OR ARTICULATED VEHICLES.
We are looking for owner-drivers, fleet owners, and HGV drivers (Class 1 or 2) based anywhere in the UK and interested in taking the next step up and becoming owner-operators and transport company owners. To get started and apply for an Operator's Licence, you need to have £8,000 which is a requirement of the UK and EU transport regulations (you won't spend it). We can help you with the rest of the process.
