We are seeking a professional and dedicated recruiter to join in on our success.

Location: Milton Keynes, with occasional travel to Newport Pagnell and Harwich, and possibly once or twice a year to Holland.

Working Hours: Flexibility is required – Monday to Friday Start times from 08.00/09.00 through to finish times 16.00 /17.30.

Essential: Must be available to be rostered into an out of hours service. Currently this is a duty that is on a 3-week rota, and when additional cover is required to cover holiday and sickness

Essential: UK Driving Licence

Salary: Commensurate with experience and negotiable.

As a recruitment consultant you will experience a variety of daily tasks focused on sourcing, onboarding, and supplying temporary HGV drivers to the HGV Transport sector. Attention to detail coupled with a resilient, can-do attitude is paramount to success in this role, with each day presenting new opportunities and challenges. You will be working alongside our experienced team at Milton Keynes, with occasional travel to Harwich and more locally Newport Pagnell, you may be required to attend meetings in Holland a couple of times a year.

You will be required to:• Manage and attract candidates – with urgency given to attracting and contacting candidates who apply for vacancies.• Create and regularly advertise job vacancies to keep a constant flow of candidate attraction.• Conduct interviews, both face to face and via video links with candidates • Ensure copies of all relevant documentation are taken at point of interview and are compliant with internal audit procedure.• Field incoming calls from temporary staff, clients, and other employees, taking the required action or escalating to the appropriate level of authority.• Allocate candidate(s) into bookings and liaise with the relevant clients in a timely manner to maximise the success rate for fulfilled bookings.• Make regular use of in-house systems to manage workload and monitor efficiency. • Constantly communicate with our clients and drivers to ensure targets are achieved and maintained.

Person spec/essential criteria• Experience within a Transport Logistics environment.• Customer service• Attention to detail and good administration skills.• Clear communicator both face-to-face and on the telephone

What kind of person are we looking for? • As the successful candidate you will be able to work on your own initiative, with the willingness to resolve complex issues. • You should be able to comfortably organise your own workload and will be able to work in a pressurised environment to meet key deadlines. • You should be PC literate, with a working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word in particular. • You must also have at least 2 years’ experience of the transport and logistics sector.

We require the successful candidate to have a calm and logistical approach to complex issues and to be able to communicate clearly to both clients and drivers from many nationalities. Someone who can approach challenges with a strategy that will keep stakeholders and employees on track and focused. Flexible, energetic, with a strong personality and a friendly and welcoming approach.
