Primary purpose:            To manage UK, pan-European and single country events
 
Reporting to:                     Head of Events, EMEA

Key Responsibilities:
 

Working with key UK and European stakeholders to determine their event requirements

Coordinating non-deal roadshows including scheduling

Advising European stakeholders on compliance and internal processes

Line management of Junior Event Manager

Coordinating all aspects of event planning and logistics including:

Building and communicating a clear process and plan for every event

Briefing registration sites and invitations

Managing the invitation process, attendee manifests and all delegate management aspects 

Site research and negotiation of vendor contracts

Coordination of logistical and audio visual requirements

On-site event management (some travel will be required)

Logistics for speakers (hotel & ground transportation)

Coordination of print and marketing collateral
Manage and support a range of events, including smaller BAU events, roadshows and principle events 

Ensuring all relevant activity is logged and monitored with Compliance and Audit requirements

Supporting and developing follow-up process for all events

Budget management and invoice reconciliation

Event reporting, tracking and feedback management
 
Skills, Knowledge & Experience
 

Relationship Effectiveness – build strong relationships with channel managers, business managers and vendors

Insight – ability to understand the unique needs of the various channels and manage  accordingly

Delivery – develop credibility and trust through consistent high quality execution and management of events

Tactical Expertise – ability to manage very detailed process with multiple tactical elements  

Team player – required to manage deliverables from a small team

Adaptable – ability to lead events and also support events managed by other event managers when nessecary

Ability of multi-task – manage multiple projects and prioritise effectively

Attention to detail and highly organised
Minimum job requirements
 

Extensive experience of event management within a corporate environment

Line management experience

Degree and/or marketing qualifications

Proven planning and project management skills. Well organised and able to manage a number of deadline oriented projects

Excellent communication skills

Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to work well with clients and vendors

Ability to mix strategic thinking with practical application

Ability to manage the expectations of multiple stakeholders including senior management

Strong attention to detail

Ability to work under pressure.
