We are looking for a London-based Program Trader to join the London Equity Trading Desk within J.P. Morgan Asset Management London.

The Team
 
The EMEA Equity Program Trading Desk is part of the JP Morgan Asset Management Global Equity Linked Trading Team and is responsible for executing programs, liquid orders and derivatives trades on behalf of Portfolio Managers based in London and overseas. The Desk takes a quantitative approach to trading with an objective of providing the lowest total cost of implementation achievable.
 
Job Description 
 
 The primary function of this role is to execute program trades on behalf of Portfolio Managers based in London and other locations globally. The successful candidate will also be expected to be active in the day-to-day implementation of systematic trading strategies. This position will have extensive interaction and collaboration with colleagues within and outside of the Trading Desk.  
 
Responsibilities will include but not limited to:

Enhancing and developing the Program Trading capabilities through quantitative analysis and creative technology solutions

Program Trading on behalf of multiple internal clients, managing and monitoring the cost and impact of trading

Close collaboration with Technology and Trading Analytics Teams, as well as other global Systematic Trading Colleagues

Present trading updates to Portfolio Managers, intra and post trade, in digestible formats both verbally and in writingJob Qualifications

Highly developed quantitative and analytical skills

Experience in program and algorithmic trading as well as other electronic trading tools

Strong understanding of market structure

Ability to perform well under pressure and deliver within tight deadlines

Ambitious self-starter able to think independently

Strong attention to detail vital

Educated to at least under-graduate level
