JPMorgan Wealth Management (WM) business is one of the world’s premier private banks, operating globally, and catering for an ultra high net worth client base. Through discretionary and brokerage services, the Private Bank offers a broad range of investment solutions encompassing alternative investments, structured products, mutual funds, derivatives and securities.  It also offers cash management, corporate finance advice, structured lending, and acts as manager of regulated funds.
 
EMEA Global Financial Crimes Compliance (“GFCC”)
 
Global Financial Crimes Compliance (GFCC) team is part of the Global Compliance and Regulatory Management department which is responsible for the provision of compliance services to the Firm.  The team covers both global and business-aligned functions supporting the firm’s Anti-Money Laundering and Sanctions programs.
 
The WM Advisory Team will work with Core GFCC teams who specialise in AML, Sanctions, and KYC standards as well as GFCC officers within the locations where WM activity resides. 
 
The EMEA GFCC Advisory function staff require:
 
Product expertise: In-depth knowledge of a full range of products, including FX and securities, banking products, derivatives, structured products, investment funds (including Hedge Funds), their purpose, target clients, specific relevant risks, deal/trade/process flow and settlement. 
 
Core expertise: In-depth knowledge and application of financial crime regulatory requirements and the firm’s policies across multiple product, service and jurisdictions.
 
Key responsibilities  
 
The successful candidate will report directly to the Head of WM Advisory within the EMEA GFCC team and as part of that team will be responsible for the oversight of the Wealth Management business for EMEA outside of Geneva.  The individual will provide support to ensure that the firm’s Financial Crime Program is successfully implemented.  Specifically, the individual will:  
 

Assess and analyse Anti-Money Laundering issues such as high risk client reviews, new products, guidance around PEPs, and negative media;

Provide clear advice on the application of UK, EU and US rules and firm policy in relation to Anti-Money Laundering, Sanctions and KYC;

Work with global and regional compliance management;

Identify and investigate potential rule and policy breaches, conduct investigations, coordinating corrective action with other control functions as necessary/required;

Keep abreast of industry trends and “hot issues” and anticipate areas of focus and attention of regulators, keeping business management and Compliance colleagues informed;

Participate in the risk assurance and assessments of new business, products, or project initiatives by providing advice from an AML, Sanctions and KYC perspective;

Assist in the development and implementation of any AML related remediation programs and/or projects;

Assist in providing AML, Sanctions, and KYC training to the staff as necessary.

Provide appropriate reporting to business fora on the status of financial crimes risks within WM.Qualifications and Skills

Educated preferably to Degree Level, possibly with an accounting or legal qualification/background.

Experience working in a similar financial crime or private banking role.

Good working knowledge of the Joint Anti-Money Laundering Steering Group guidance notes, the 4th EU Anti-Money Laundering Directive, the FCA Handbook, EU regulations and US requirements.

Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic and demanding environment

Attention to detail and control/quality awareness.

Good communication skills especially the ability to articulate complex issues to a range of audiences, including business management, other compliance, legal and control colleagues, as well as audit and regulatory authorities.

Good organisational and planning skills.
