The Team
The Central Cross Border team is part of the Institutional Business Platform Management and is responsible for the implementation and monitoring of the Cross Border Policy and the strategic planning of a standardised operational model across all regions within Asset Management. 

The team supports the COO business agenda by providing strategy, MIS and analytical support, and works globally and cross-functionally with front office advisors, product specialists, legal, compliance, oversight and control, Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system, audit operations, technology, middle office and marketing.

The Role
This is an opportunity to support the Central Cross Border team in the implementation and monitoring of the Global Cross Border control framework. The role reports into the Head of the Central Cross Border team and provides day-to day analytical support to the Cross Border team’s activities. The successful candidate will collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders and key dependencies for the planning and delivery of the Cross Border control agenda and deliverables globally including; the Compliance, Legal, CRM, Learning & Development, O&C, Marketing, Technology, CWT. 

Key responsibilities 
These will include but will not be limited to:

Build global expertise and knowledge on Cross Border.

Support and manage the business quality assurance proceedings in the team (incl. validation of client activity vs the AM Cross Border Conduct of Business Memorandum, Cross Border onboarding framework, procedure updates etc.).

Oversight and development of the offshore Cross Border team.

Deliver effective business controls and MIS metrics and appropriate documentation to support the team’s reporting deliverables and monthly MIS reporting to the Steering Committee.

Escalate Cross Border related issues to the Steering Committee where appropriate.  

Design processes and tools that yield sustainable improvement of the existing Cross Border framework in relation to licensing, products and services across LOBs identifying Cross Border risks proactively and on the basis of experience and finding ways to minimise/eliminate them.

Support the roll out and maintenance of the Cross Border business resiliency and RCSA processes performing ad-hoc business analysis.

Advise on the approach of complex and sensitive cross-border transactions.

Work in close collaboration with Legal, Compliance, and Oversight & Controls coverage globally.

Prepare a wide range of communications to various parties in relation to the Cross Border activities.

Mentoring and offering guidance to other members of the team.
An understanding of the regulatory environment/upcoming global regulatory changes and their impact on the business.

Ability to work with Compliance and Legal to incorporate changes to the Cross Border framework.

Compliance experience would be beneficial.

Experience working in a fast paced, deadline driven environment and comfortable with ambiguity and dynamically shifting priorities, timelines, and demands.

Strong logical structuring and creative problem solving analytical skills for the creation and application of appropriate conceptual frameworks to drive towards execution and delivering results.

Excellent judgment, analytical, leadership and communication (written and oral) skills and ability to clearly articulate initiative goals, simplify complex business approaches, and effectively communicate key messages to stakeholders.

A pro-active individual who enjoys working within the framework of a supportive team but able to work independently while managing up and escalating appropriately.

Professional maturity, positive, can-do attitude, with strong management, organisational and administrative skills, and ability to prioritise and work to deadlines within a demanding, busy environment.

Flexibility in managing several deliverables simultaneously and ability to contribute at both an operational and strategic level.

A diligent approach to tasks and duties, attention to detail, and with a methodical control based mind-set.

Strong MS Office skills. Especially strong Excel (e.g. formals, pivots, macros) and advanced Skills in PowerPoint.
