Drainage Tanker Driver/Operator – Home Counties

We’re looking for an experienced tanker driver with excellent drainage knowledge to join our team.

Proven history of working with JetVac equipment
7.5t licence
High pressure water jetting tickets, SHEA or EUSR card, and CPC Qualification

The role

Our team provide a full range of drainage services to residential and commercial property owners. We aim to finish a job in one visit so, as an Aspect engineer, you’ll source parts, make repairs and quote for any further work required.

You’ll be provided with confirmed bookings that relate to your specific expertise, on a constant basis. Typical bookings include:

Flood control
Line cleans
Cesspit cleaning and emptying
Reactive external blockages
Assisting other drainage engineers on site
Emptying grease traps
Cleaning foul and rainwater systems
Clear communication with customers is essential. You’ll be expected to provide reassurance by explaining the work you’ll do for them and sharing your knowledge. You’ll also be confident quoting for remedial work. Our bespoke software enables tradespeople to take responsibility for managing their own work rather than always relying on office-based support.

You’ll be supported by a Technical Trade Manager. They’ll provide advice and assistance and can arrange additional resource on jobs that escalate in size and complexity.

We try to provide engineers with bookings in the same geographic area. However, you’ll be prepared to travel anywhere in and around the M25 but, due to our company expansion we will keep you as close to home as possible. You’ll be required to be on call for cyclical evening and weekend coverage.

About you

You’ll have at least 5 years of experience as a tanker driver and have good technical knowledge of external drainage. You’ll have experience of completing daily checks of the vehicle, writing waste transfer notes, keeping the driver’s logbook up to date, and emptying tanker systems. Ideally, you’ll hold a CSCS card and you’ll have experience of working in both domestic and commercial properties.

You will be confident at using your knowledge and experience to recommend best practice remedial work. You’ll have excellent communication skill. You’re prepared to go the extra mile to help a customer. You take pride in always delivering high quality work and excellent customer service. You’ll also have a valid UK driving licence and you’ll be available to work for at least 40 hours per week.
