Job Title: HGV 2 Driver

Location: Newton Abbot
Pay Rate: Starting from £15.44 per hour
Job Type: Temp-Perm
Shifts: Start times from 6am

HGV 2 Drivers – Immediate Start Available *NEW PASSES WELCOME*

We are currently recruiting multiple HGV 2 Drivers to join a busy and fast-paced surfacing solutions business. This is a temp-perm opportunity for the right people.

Key Responsibilities:

Drive and operate HGV Class 2 vehicles transporting road marking equipment, materials, and crew to various job sites
Ensure all equipment and materials are safely loaded, secured, and transported in line with regulations
Support on-site road marking operations, including assisting with set-up and pack-down
Carry out daily vehicle checks and basic maintenance to ensure roadworthiness
Maintain accurate vehicle records, including defect reporting
Work closely with site teams and supervisors to ensure timely and efficient project completion
Adhere to all road transport laws, tachograph regulations, and company policies
Follow strict health & safety procedures, particularly in live traffic environments
Travel to multiple locations
Requirements:

Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence (essential)
Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph card (essential)
Previous experience driving HGV vehicles in a similar environment (preferred but not essential, new passes welcome)
CSCS card (preferred; training can be provided if required)
Ability to assist with manual tasks and work as part of a team on-site
Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
Flexible approach to working hours, including evenings and weekends
Strong reliability, punctuality, and a professional attitude
