HGV CLASS 1 DRIVER – VACANCIES

At AMG Transport, we currently have vacancies for HGV Class 1 Driver based out of Larkhall

This is a nightshift position Tramping UK

This position is night shift if you can’t do night shift or looking for Mon to Fri please don’t apply

To become part of the Amg Transport Team, we need our Drivers to have the following:

Current HGV Class 1 licence with a maximum of 6 points.
Current CPC card.
Digital Tachograph driver card.
Flexible approach to working hours and shift patterns.
Good geographical knowledge.
A positive, can do attitude.
High attention to detail/excellent communication skills.
Physically fit (some manual work may be involved).
The position of Class 1 Driver involves:

Occasionally loading and unloading the vehicle.
Ensuring goods are safely secured.
Completing delivery paperwork.
Dealing with customers face to face.
Keeping in regular contact with the transport team.
Keeping your vehicle in good condition.
Beneficial skills for the role:

Relevant experience in a similar role is desirable.
Knowledge of Road Transport Directive and current drivers’ hours.
Min 2 years experience no new passes

We are looking for owner-drivers, fleet owners, and HGV drivers (Class 1 or 2) based anywhere in the UK and interested in taking the next step up and becoming owner-operators and transport company owners. To get started and apply for an Operator’s Licence, you need to have £8,000 which is a requirement of the UK and EU transport regulations (you won’t spend it). We can help you with the rest of the process.
