This role is in support of Cencora’s third party logistics service in Europe operating through our Alloga business.

Are you a skilled Class 1 HGV driver/shunter, looking for a full-time opportunity? Alloga UK is seeking a dedicated and professional Class 1 Driver with shunting experience to join our team in South Normanton. As a Class 1 Driver and shunter, you will play a vital role in providing a professional customer delivery service while maintaining a safe and competent standard of driving. You will be delivering to UK destination’s only from our distribution centre.

HGV Class 1 Driver with Shunting duties

Location: South Normanton Alloga AP5 site

Working Days: Monday to Friday – start time between 1200 and 1500

Hours: 48 hours per week

Rate of Pay: £16.4325 per hour

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver goods promptly and safely, ensuring maximum customer satisfaction.
Communicate effectively with the transport office regarding any delays or issues.
Complete documentation accurately, including proof of deliveries and returns.
Maintain a high level of vehicle cleanliness and road safety, adhering to speed limits and traffic regulations.
Conduct daily vehicle walkaround checks and manage secure loading practices.
Report any risks, incidents, or temperature excursions as they arise.

What We’re Looking For:

Experience: Minimum 2 years of Class 1 driving experience.

Skills: Excellent customer care and communication skills, with the ability to work independently.

Attributes: Smart appearance, strong interpersonal skills, and a flexible approach to work.

Qualifications: NVQ Level 2 and a sound knowledge of Good Distribution Practice (GDP).
