Full job description
Hours – 40 hours per week, early starts between 3am-6.30am. Some weekend availability is a must.

Location – Dartford DA2 6QB

Salary – £32,621 per annum

As an HGV Multi-drop Driver at Albion Fine Foods you will be the face of the business, meeting our customers everyday while providing them with an outstanding service. We supply fresh, frozen and ambient produce to some of the finest chefs across London and the South East, delivering from our growing range of over 4,000 products to a range of restaurants, pubs, cafes, businesses and even schools. Your role is vital in ensuring they get everything then need to deliver their service. Our aim is to provide chefs with a great service, great products and less hassle!

Reporting to the team of Transport Supervisors and Transport Manager, you will be responsible for delivering high quality products to our customers safely, efficiently and with exceptional customer service. Our aim is to give drivers a regular specific round so you can get to know your group of customers. We do ask for a degree of flexibility to cover other rounds when needed, to support our colleagues.

You will start your day by carrying out a vehicle check before setting off in a 5T refrigerated vehicle that has been pre-loaded for you by our Night Shift; our aim is to get you out on the road before any rush hour traffic begins and once all your deliveries are complete and you return to the depot, normally your working day is finished.

This role and outstanding customer service is essential to the smooth running and success of the business, it ensures our customers get their deliveries as well as the best possible service. Some of your usual responsibilities will include:

Completing daily vehicle checks and reporting defects to the transport supervisors
Ensuring a high standard of hygiene by keeping your vehicle clean and tidy, and fuelled up ready for the following day
Helping customers unload their order, providing a loyal and helpful service
Collecting orders from customers and suppliers as needed by the Purchasing team
Ensuring all processes and customer instructions are followed, obtaining proof of delivery using our new handheld system
Role Requirements

Good geographical knowledge of and be confident driving in and around London, Greater London and the South East
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Passion for delivering outstanding customer service
A positive ‘can do’ attitude, as well as being self-motivated and happy to help others
A full and valid driving licence
