Assistant Account Manager

Location: Potters Bar
Salary: £23000 per annum plus 20 days holiday in addition to public holidays.

Working Hours: 9:00am to 6:00pm Monday to Thursday and 9:00am to 7:00pm on Friday. Additional hours as may be necessary for the performance of your duties.

The Company

A well-established and successful recruitment agency specialising in the supply of HGV drivers to a range of blue chip companies operating within the transport and logistics sector. Due to significant growth and a number of high profile client acquisitions the agency recognises that it now needs to work a lot smarter than traditional recruitment companies and is seeking a bright, dynamic and “digitally savvy” graduate to join its account management team as a sales support assistant.

What you’ll be doing

You will be providing support and assistance to the Account Management team across all aspects of the business. You will be expected to get to grips with all area of the business, particularly external clients and dealing with people on a daily basis. You will also need to get fully up to speed with all the software/systems used by the agency and start to really understand the transport and logistics industry the agency operates in.

Duties will be varied and include the following:

Writing excellent ad and job brief summaries
Utilising the agency website and all active 3rd party websites for publishing live job ads and driver recruitment campaigns.
Establishing client shift requirements and prospective drivers via phone, email and face to face meetings with the Account Managers
Scheduling and managing driver shifts in line with client requirements.
Scheduling and managing client meetings for the Account Managers
Building strong relationships with our client customer and driver database
Vet CVs and interview driver candidates.
Keeping accurate records of all active job briefs and client shifts
Data-base management, organising and filing driver data and job briefs
Supporting new business initiatives by creating new client sales leads through cold calling, external marketing, internal database management and email marketing.

You will be closely managed across your first year to ensure you have everything you need to become fully up to speed on the Transport and Logistics industry you work within.
Having been exposed to all facets of life within an agile recruitment agency you will be perfectly placed to engage with candidates and clients alike and start managing deals from start to finish

The first three months of your employment will be probationary. During this time, notice period of employment from either side will constitute one week and the Company’s disciplinary procedure will not apply to you. The Company reserves the right to extend the probationary period if justified.

A confident individual with good telephone manner and brilliant communication skills.
Your written English must be excellent as you will be responsible for loads of external marketing.
You will be keen to learn and create a career for yourself in the field of media and recruitment.
Good with technology
Excellent people skills with the ability to sell as well as listen, handhold and consult
Recent degree level graduate preferred
Ideally live within a 5 to 10 mile radius of Potters Bar

Job Duties:

Manage multiple accounts, ensuring that a high level of customer retention and satisfaction is maintained
Meet monthly quotas
Engage with multiple customers on a daily basis by reaching out to new clients, and by developing campaigns for maintaining customer loyalty
Implement strategies for retaining customers requesting to terminate or downgrade their account
Record changes to customer accounts, updating service packages, adding accounts, and removing accounts as needed
