Due to growth within our Manchester Forecourts team, we are looking to add two new team members to our existing growing team, reporting to the Operations Manager.
As an HGV Forecourt Services Engineer with Adler and Allan, you will operate UK wide, working with other Engineers & Technicians, acting as part of a team to fulfil works for major oil companies and independent customers.
Duties associated with this role, included but not limited to driving HGV ADR vehicles, jetting and drainage operations, tank testing, specialist tank maintenance, forecourt maintenance and compliance auditing. A principal task of this post is to identify root causes of problems and provide customers with long term solutions. The duties of this post include a high degree of manual work and the post-holder will also be required to operate any Company vehicle for which they are suitably qualified to undertake.
Core hours of work are between 6am-5pm Monday – Friday, and there will be a need to have a flexible approach to working hours. The post-holder will be required to stay away from home on occasion and take part in an on call rota, as well as some weekend work.
Your day will look like this:
Operate as part of a one/two person team to perform and deliver site tankering works, which will include jetting and drain cleaning works, interceptor cleaning and servicing and reactive works on Canal & River Trust sites, petrol filling stations and distribution centres.
Respond and react to call outs for critical issues.
Carry out Near miss & potential incident reporting. In-house training will be provided.
Liaison with customers on site to discuss on-going works and further services of the Company.
Maintain a clean vehicle and ensure all equipment, tools, PPE and other work items are in good order and repair and available for use at all times. The post holder is expected to inform supervision as soon as any damage is identified.
Completion of all works paperwork and submission in a timely manner to divisional supervision.
Liaison with supervision regarding all works and recommending improvements of possible opportunities.
Any other duties for which the post holder is qualified for and capable of undertaking.
How you can help us with your experience:
Post holder must have a clean UK driving license CE CE+1.
ADR (preferred but not essential as training can be provided).
HPWJ qualifications and experience (preferred).
Previous knowledge and experience of completing RAMS documentation would be advantageous.
Experience working on live forecourts.
Experience working in the drainage industry.
Willingness to undertake any additional training to increase capability of the division in supplying a service to customers.
Effective written and verbal communication with any person whom the post holder comes into contact with, submission of all documentation and paperwork in a timely and competent manner is required.
Adherence to strict client confidentiality and recognition to treat all information gained during employment as private and not impart to any third party is required.
