Dayshift LGV 1 Driver – Linwood

We are recruiting for full time day shift LGV Class 1 drivers based at our Linwood depot.

The job will involve mainly container transport but can also involve general haulage. We operate mainly in the Central Belt of Scotland but also cover UK wide work based on the needs of our customers. We expect our drivers to be flexible to suit the needs of the business.

Our vehicles are all fitted with in cab devices to carry out vehicle checks and also to send & receive job information but training will be provided.

We have various shift patterns available for this position;

Mon – Fri – Dayshift Start Times ranging from 5am – 7.30am
Mon – Fri – Dayshift with potential for overnights based on workload
All shift patterns have the potential for overtime and weekend working where available.

Shift finish times will be based around drivers hours and also business needs.

The position requires

Good understanding of drivers hours regulations but also excellent team work skills to ensure the transport operation runs smoothly.
HGV Class 1, Driver CPC, Digital Tacho card
Experience preferred but training will be provided.

Hourly Rate Overview (Based on achieving basic hours):

£9.50 per hour for 1st 45 hours
£14.25 for any hours worked over 45 hours
£26.20 overnight allowance
Hazardous Payment Structure in place
Saturday – £14.25 per hour
Sunday – £15.83 per hour
We operate a 1 vehicle 1 driver policy where possible.

3) Fill out application form, short test and licence check

4) Short Interview to explain your employment history

5) Driving Assessment with coupling/uncoupling procedure
