We are looking for HGV Class 1 tramper drivers to collect and deliver agricultural goods nationally, with the possibility of some international work.
Organization: AB Texel UK
Location: Whittlesey / Peterborough
Pay: £14.09 per hour – £17.43 per hour
Full time/tramping shift patterns available –

6 days on / 1 day off / 6 days on / 11 days off (rolling shift pattern)
4 days on / 4 days off (rolling shift pattern).
6 days on / 3 days off (rolling shift pattern)
6 days on / 1 day off / 6 days on / 5 days off (rolling shift pattern)
What are you going to do?
AB Texel UK are a large, well-established agricultural bulk transport company who are currently recruiting for HGV Class 1 tramper drivers to collect and deliver agricultural goods nationally, with the possibility of some international work.

You are the one who transports agricultural bulk goods, such as potatoes, to the factory. An important job, because without you the goods will not arrive at the factory. You play an important link in the process of getting food to the final customers.

At AB Texel UK we understand that in order to perform your work optimally, you need good materials. That is why we have modern trucks and trailers. In addition, new drivers receive thorough training with us. They are trained and intensively supported and supervised by an experienced AB colleague who can teach them all the tricks of our specific trade. Our new drivers only begin to work independently once they have achieved our high standards and built up sufficient experience. Because only then are these drivers able to call themselves true AB specialists.

Who are you?
Our ideal driver:

Feels at home in the agricultural sector.
Likes varied locations & a varied workload, no two days will be the same.
Is in possession of a HGV Class 1 license
A clean license is preferred

We are looking for owner-drivers, fleet owners, and HGV drivers (Class 1 or 2) based anywhere in the UK and interested in taking the next step up and becoming owner-operators and transport company owners. To get started and apply for an Operator’s Licence, you need to have £8,000 which is a requirement of the UK and EU transport regulations (you won’t spend it). We can help you with the rest of the process.
