Full job description
HGV Recovery Vehicle Driver, based at our Leyland depot. Daily duties will involve predominately driving one of our modern, fully equipped, 10-23 tonne, slide-bed recovery trucks, attending road traffic collisions, breakdowns etc and transporting vehicles mainly around the North of England for our various clients. Heavy Recovery vehicle work alongside general vehicle recovery work is also available for a suitable candidate.

All applicants will be required to complete and pass a full CRB Check as some of our contracts involve working with local authorities and the local Police Authority. Previous vehicle recovery experience and IVR certification would be advantageous, however full training and certification will be offered to the right candidate. The vehicle recovery industry is a 24 hour, 365 days a year operation and requires commitment and flexibility from it’s employees. In return leading industry rates of pay are on offer here at AAA Leyland. The main working hours are Monday to Friday 08:30-17:30 hrs with night call out rota duties through the week. Weekend working on a rota basis is also part of the duties. A full company uniform and PPE are supplied to each employee by the company.

The ideal candidate would need to reside within a ten minute commuting area of our Leyland Depot in order to fulfil our strict call out time responses during the night and at weekends. This position is a permanent long term appointment with excellent earnings potential for the right candidate. HGV Driving: 2 years (required)
