HGV class 1 driver – Tilbury

Driver Hire Romford are currently recruiting HGV Class 1 day & night drivers for our Tilbury based client who supply water and water recycling services. You would be working locally, tankering sewage collection, full training to be provided over a 2-3 week period. This will be a full time position after an initial probation period.

Typical shift times ranging from –

Day 0430 – 1600

Night 18:00 to 03:00.

Requirements for this role:
HGV Class 1 Licence and up to date CPC

Experience driving a HGV Class 1 vehicle

Trustworthy and reliable

Excellent timekeeping

Be able to work independently as you would be required to go to sites on your own collecting sewage and bringing it back to the depot

No more than 6 points on your licence

Excellent communication skills

Rates of pay:
Monday to Friday: £14 an hour

Saturday £17 an hour

Sunday £19

Nights £17

To get started and apply for an Operator’s Licence, you need to have £8,000 which is a requirement of the UK and EU transport regulations (you won’t spend it).
