Driver’s Mate

dh Recruitment/Driver Hire are currently looking for driver’s mates to assist our client’s delivery drivers who are based in Plymouth & the surrounding areas.

About the job:

Shifts start usually from around 7:00am and each shift is usually between 10-12 hours long depending on the number of deliveries and area being covered.
Pay is between £8.72 and £9.60 per hour, depending on which days you work.
You’ll be paid by the hour, no day rates with overtime being paid after 8 hours.
This company operates 7 days a week so we can offer days on/off to suit you.
PAYE which means that you are properly taxed as well as receive holiday entitlement and pension contributions.
You’ll be delivering a variety of products as part of a two man crew throughout Devon, Cornwall & sometimes beyond.
You’ll be paid weekly.
Candidate Requirements:

Customer service skills.
The ability to lift and carry as well as move freely in and out of the truck, in all weather conditions is necessary due to the physical nature of this role.
Your own transport is essential to get to and from the depot.
This is part time agency work which is ongoing & can lead to full time roles for the right people.

BECOME AN OWNER-DRIVER AND WORK FOR YOURSELF! AVERAGE EARNINGS: £45,000 – £60,000 PER YEAR. AVAILABLE ANYWHERE IN THE UK.

CONTRACT HAULAGE WORK AVAILABLE ALL YEAR ROUND FOR OWNER-DRIVERS AND FLEET OWNERS WITH RIGID OR ARTICULATED VEHICLES.

We are looking for owner-drivers, fleet owners, and HGV drivers (Class 1 or 2) based anywhere in the UK and interested in taking the next step up and becoming owner-operators and transport company owners. To get started and apply for an Operator’s Licence, you need to have £8,000 which is a requirement of the UK and EU transport regulations (you won’t spend it). We can help you with the rest of the process.
