Full job description
We are seeking a professional HGV 1 Driver to join a busy retailer in the Swindon area (SN3) to start immediately. This is an ongoing role, with potential for a permanent contract.

About the HGV 1 Driver Role:

Monday to Friday – No Weekends!
Start times between 4am-7am
Pay rate is £18.50ph
Ongoing work with potential for permanent contract
Approx 4-6 drops to retail stores. There is no unloading – you just pull back curtain and the stock is taken off by forklift
Duties for the HGV 1 Driver Role:

Operate HGV 1 vehicle in accordance with all road safety and traffic regulations
Conduct pre-journey checks to ensure vehicle safety and compliance
Deliver goods to various locations efficiently and punctually, adhering to scheduled routes and deadlines
Secure loads appropriately to prevent movement during transit
Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs
Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding delivery schedules and any issues encountered during routes
Experience / Qualifications required for the HGV 1 Driver role:

Valid LGV 1 (C+E) licence + Driver CPC Card & Digi Card
Minimum 2 years HGV 1 driving experience
Maximum 6 points for minor offences (No DR’s, DD’s etc)
Demonstrable knowledge of driving regulations and safety standards within the UK
Experience in delivery driving with a focus on timely and secure deliveries
Good organisational skills and the ability to manage time effectively during routes
Strong communication skills and a professional attitude towards customer service
