HGV Class 1 Driver – Full time, Permanent
Running out of Stoke on Trent

Our client based in the Stoke on Trent area has asked us to recruit a handful of Class 1 Drivers to join their expanding team on a full time, permanent basis. This Is a fantastic opportunity to join an expanding business, regarded as one of the best hauliers within the UK.

Job Details
You will be working on 2 different runs; either on the scrap run or the delivery run.
The delivery run consists of you making between 1 and 3 deliveries to large tyre depots, where you will be required to offload the tyres whilst following paperwork into the store with the help of the store assistants.
The scrap run consists of you driving to a recycling plant and offloading full or partial load of tyres into the plant with the help of a drivers’ mate.
You will be exposed to both runs, however if you are good at a certain run or have specific preferences, you will stick to one run.
You will be put onto a 12-week Temp to Perm – guaranteeing a full time, permanent job with the client subject to you showing you’re a good, consistent driver.

Shift Pattern
Monday to Friday with start times from 05:00 to 06:00, however some flexibility is needed as timed deliveries may require an earlier/later start.
Weekend work is available and optional, at a higher rate.

Requirements
A valid, in-date Class 1 licence
An in-date Digi card & CPC card
Minimum traceable 1-year experience of Class 1 work
A traceable work history, dating back at least 3 years
No DD or DR codes on licence – maximum 9 points

+£1ph for LTD drivers
