Class C Driver

Tell me more about the role…
You will be primarily responsible for the safe operation of a Class 2 vehicle and delivering caged goods to pubs, shops, and restaurants on behalf of our client.

This role is based in Chepstow and you’ll report to the Transport Manager and will be tasked with the following:
– Ensuring the safe transport of your deliveries
– Carrying out deliveries throughout the southwest
– Ensuring you are complying with health and safety regulations while carrying out your daily duties
– Driving a Class C vehicle
– Operating a tail-lift

The standard working hours for this role are Monday to Friday with occasional Saturdays as required. Please note this role does involve early starts (4-5 am).

What experience do I need?
My client wants someone who’s got experience of driving a Class C vehicle.

They’ll also need you to have experience of:
– Current EU driver’s hours and regulations
– Working time directive
– Carrying out deliveries to clients

In addition, it’s essential that you possess the following:
– A good working attitude
– A good understanding of health and safety
– A valid CPC card
– A valid tacho card
– A class C driving license

You’ll also need to be the following:
– Able to work in a safe manner
– Able to carry out other duties as required
– Flexible with your working hours as required

What can I earn?
This HGV2 Driver position offers a basic salary of £14.50 per hour.

You also have the ability to earn overtime in this role which is £20 ph, paid after 8 hours.
