Team
The Strategic Relationship Management Group (SRMG) is responsible for managing relationships with key decision makers, influencers and research teams of the largest asset management groups in the UK, while partnering closely with regional sales and investor teams to strategically position JPMAM’s range of solutions.
Responsibilities
The role is to develop and deepen JPMAM’s relationships with the largest, most significant investing institutions in the UK (including national discretionary fund managers, private banks, family offices and multi-managers). To achieve this the role demands the following:
Developing a broad and deep knowledge of the full investment management capabilities of the firm. Building key internal relationships to effectively position both new and existing solutions to fit with client and prospects’ investment needs, including facilitating all forms of due diligence processes.
Working in close partnership with JPMAM’s regional sales managers and marketing teams to communicate strategic direction and focus with sophisticated investors. Agree sales targets and ensure a coordinated head office/branch sales relationship with the national discretionary wealth managers.
Working closely with internal distribution partners in other regions where the client also has operations outside the UK. This could require working in partnership with European, Asian and US distribution heads to ensure optimal cross border activity.
Partnering closely with other sales teams, investment specialists, portfolio managers, and product strategy to ‘deliver the firm’ to clients.
You will be expected to be an ambassador of the firm with the necessary gravitas and expertise to build strategic partnerships with the firms you are responsible for.Core Skills
Significant experience forging strong and successful strategic partnerships at the most senior and multi-national level.
Experience in managing complex/global clients and co-ordinating centralised investment research processes with exemplary client engagement and interaction skills.
Individual with coverage or knowledge of the top 10-15 private banks and large multi-manager groups.
Strong technical investment knowledge, with excellent understanding of markets, fund solutions, competitive positioning and regulatory environments.
Analytical with experience selling complex products and solutions across the asset class waterfront (equities, fixed income, multi-asset and alternatives).
Effective communication and messaging skills, and strong internal networker.
Highly disciplined and self-sufficient with excellent planning, time management, and organisational skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to thrive in a collaborative and dynamic team environment.This role encompasses the performance of UK regulated activity. The successful candidate will therefore be subject to meeting UK regulatory requirements in the assessment of fitness, propriety, knowledge and competence (as assessed by the Firm) and (where appropriate) approval by the UK Financial Conduct Authority and/or the Prudential Regulation Authority to carry out such activities.
