Senior Propositions Manager
As a Barclays Senior Propositions Manager, you’ll play an important role in the Information Propositions and New Ventures team, within the Barclays UK business. You will be running, enhancing and developing one of our key propositions, created from data with customer value and commerciality at the heart of everything we do. It’s about building a data business that meets the needs of our customers and clients which has its own revenue stream and is independent of Barclays core banking products. About us:
The Information Propositions and New Ventures team is one of the most innovative parts of our business, and the perfect environment for people with product management or propositions development experience from an online retail, high street retail or FMCG background. The aim here is to utilise valuable customer data of which we are the custodian, applying thinking, analytics and building models that serve this data back to customer and clients in a valuable and useful way.
As a Senior Propositions Manager, your main responsibilities will involve:
• Leading and managing existing information based products which includes continuous enhancement of the product, leading on new iterations and ‘test & learn’ initiatives
• Leading the marketing and development strategy of a customer facing product
• Liaising with and influencing key partners and stakeholders to ensure coherent commercial and marketing plans are in place to support the achievement of the company and customer goals (advocacy, engagement, adoption, income)
• Actively managing existing long-term third party partners to develop great commercial outcomes, managing all controls, ensuring risks are mitigated and any issues are flagged as soon as they are identified
• Developing clearly defined commercial business cases to ensure the proposition roadmap is realistic and fits with the wider strategy
• Negotiating with new third party partners
As a Senior Propositions Manager, your skills and qualifications will include:
• Experience in managing ground-breaking change and driving commercial outcomes within complex organisations
• Experience in driving commercial performance
• Detailed understanding of customer journeys and customer experience – in particular the levers to build propositions delivered digitally
• Experience of working with a customer loyalty programme
• Extensive ability to use data to drive solutions and solve business challenges
• Expertise in analysis of customer data to optimise targeting, communication and proposition development
• Able to design multiple ‘test & learn’ initiatives, in order to test the effectiveness of different marketing mix (pricing, proposition) to different audiences and optimise overall proposition, placements, language, tone of voice
