CFS- Middle Office – Business Analyst& Change Lead Asset Servicing

J.P. Morgan Custody provides Institutional investors access to markets worldwide for the settlement, safekeeping and asset servicing of securities, along with ancillary services such as Foreign Exchange and Liquidity Solutions. This product suite, along with our Markets business, helps us service our core client segments: Asset Managers, Asset Owners, Insurance/GSEs, Banks/Broker Dealers and Hedge Funds and Alternatives
Role & Responsibilities:
The role focuses specifically on Custody and Middle Office Strategy & business analysis strategic initiatives. The CFS business is driving an aggressive agenda to enhance client experience esp for new business and technology. This requires assimilating the large number of ideas generated at all levels (primarily by Middle Office, Product development) into a structured framework. The right amount of rigor in documenting / governing initiatives is important to enable targeted decision making.
Manage and execute complex projects and ensure that project deliverables are met with the appropriate due diligence and system integration relating to Custody & Asset Servicing
Work closely with operations and technology business partners to prioritize technology effort and ensure deliverables are met
Working with a team partners with a number of groups including the front office, product development, middle office, core operations, technology, finance, and works closely with US and Asia stakeholders on global initiatives
Provide transparency with the execution of a communication plan on project delivery as it related to being on schedule, on budget with proper risk mitigation
Partner with above mentioned teams to ensure project meets expected results
Identify and facilitate issue resolutions and escalate where applicable
Business process re-engineering
Help analyze system infrastructure and existing process flows to determine gaps or opportunities for productivity Improvements
Monitor, track and report project milestones and timeline
Participating in meetings at the operational and project level, providing continuous feedback on project status, UAT Management
Understanding the business, products and infrastructure
Understanding the control environment
Supporting business units in the development and execution of acceptance test plans for a successful implementation
Lead and manage projects related to all of the above & help the business manage their strategic development plans and budgets
Ability to represent team in key senior Project Delivery meetings
Produce summary presentations and overview materials for program stakeholders Qualifications
We are looking for candidates with the following characteristics:
Custody product & process knowledge
Client Service or Middle Office exposure preferred
A track record of involvement in change program implementing new business processes and controls
Good balance between analytical skills and interpersonal skills
Ability to face off to very demanding stakeholders, managing their expectations
Strong understanding of the transaction lifecycle, Cash Management and Corporate Actions
Excellent problem solving skills to identify, understand and address operational and technical issues
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, including the ability to develop relationships across the various stakeholders including senior business executives
Motivated and able to deliver with minimal supervision, whilst working effectively in a team.
Skills:
Strong experience of working on large scale, multi-stream programs with proven track record in streamlining
Operational process to reduce operating costs and/or increase processing capacity.
Candidate must have a control focused agenda, and a thorough understanding of program/project risk Ability to work closely with business partners and interact with all staff levels
Ability to be flexible, follow tight deadlines, organize and prioritize work Strategic thinking coupled with practical execution Strong analytical and problem solving skills including taking the initiative to drive change and enhance controls.

Business and Subject Matter Knowledge:
Partner across the global firm wide division for the Payment Control Program, the goal of which is to review and reduce the number of systems in the payment processing model
Candidate should have at least 5 + years experience in Cash Management, Cash Operations or Product.
Candidate should have a subject matter expertise on how cash projections, sweeps, credit lines work and should possess good knowledge of the Swift standards applicable for Cash products.
Strong knowledge of the cash management life cycle.
Strong knowledge of the workflow of FX market Execution-Pricing-Settlement.
Good understanding of Direct and Indirect Fx transactions and key regulations applicable to Fx Markets like, such as ERISA, Dodd Frank etc
Financial markets product knowledge and understanding of the transaction lifecycle
Subject matter expertise in Custody products is a significant plus Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Power Point and Microsoft Projects, a PMP license a plus Education and Certifications Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent preferredAbout J.P. Morgan’s Corporate & Investment Bank:
