EMEA Futures & Options and OTC Clearing Legal Team – VP – Based in London
J.P.Morgan’s F&O and OTC Clearing Legal team is looking for a motivated individual to draft, negotiate, and track Futures & Options and OTC Clearing agreements. The role sits within the Markets Legal Practice in EMEA supporting the EMEA Regional Global Clearing Business.
Individual will be responsible for ensuring appropriate legal agreements are put in place with new clients being onboarded onto the F&O and OTC Clearing platform. The Position involves frequent interaction with Sales, Credit Risk, Client Service, Business Management and Operations internally and Dealers and Clients externally.
Other responsibilities include coordinating Credit approvals, initiating Client documentation process with different production areas of the firm, and helping to resolve issues raised by Clients and the Business that relate to legal agreements.
Responsibilities
Drafting and finalizing business specific agreements with Dealers and Clients
Coordinating senior internal approvals
Interpreting, explaining and negotiating legal agreements to Clients and Executing Brokers
Strategize with Business on best way to manage changes to product development, risk or operational processes and help draft agreements to account for such changesSkills and experience
Previous derivative documentation experience -Futures and Options experience or OTC derivatives prime brokerage (including ISDA Master) preferred
Legal Degree/Admitted Solicitor preferred (UK, Europe or Commonwealth)
Strong attention to detail
Polished verbal and written communication skills; strong interpersonal skills
Must be literate in Microsoft programs (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.)
Ability to manage projects and work independently
