Full job description
Hours: 42.5 hours per week, 8.5 hours per day Monday to Friday and working on a Saturday on a rota basis with occasions where overtime may be required.

Job Type: Permanent, Full Time with 22 days annual leave and bank holidays

We are a leading provider of transport refrigeration systems, air conditioning solutions and converting panel vans into commercial, refrigerated vehicles.

Job Requirements:

As part of our continued growth we are now looking to appoint a HGV Driver to assume responsibility for ensuring that vehicles are delivered and collected to clients’ premises in a timely and efficient manner. This position will be based from our Vehicle Hire Bathgate site and involves visits to vehicles located away from the site either for collection or delivery as required.

Our Drivers play a key role in maintaining our customer service to a high standard. The successful applicant will be confident and demonstrate a highly positive attitude together with the ability to be a team player and have excellent communication skills with both colleagues and customers.

Ideally you’ll have some basic mechanical knowledge and be the kind of person who responds to customers with the utmost care and attention. You will also be confident in driving a wide variety of different vehicle types.

Key Tasks to include:

Ensuring vehicles prepared for delivery are thoroughly checked before delivery
Ensuring vehicles are parked appropriately within the yard and kept secure at all times
Maintaining effective communication with the Depot office at all times
Agreeing condition of vehicle with client on delivery or collection and completing paperwork and photography routines to support this
Liaising with client regarding delivery times and locations
Returning vehicles to site in advance or returning via other means as agreed
General assistance on site as required
Assisting other team members in their roles when required
Job Requirements:

You will hold a full driving license up to and including HGV vehicles as driving duties to this level will be required. You will also hold your driver’s card and have a current CPC certification
