We are seeking a reliable and experienced HGV Class 1 Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to safety and efficiency while delivering goods to various locations. This role requires a valid commercial driving licence and experience with flatbed lorries is preferred. The Truck Driver will play a crucial role in ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining the integrity of the cargo.

Monday – Friday

8:00am – 18:30pm

Standard Pay Rate – £15.28 per hour

Overtime Pay Rate – £22.92 per hour

Duties

Collections and Deliveries – (Approx. 20)
Conduct pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in safe operating condition.
Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper securing techniques are used to prevent damage during transit.
Maintain accurate delivery logs and reports as required by company policies.
Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving, promoting safety on the road.
Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, representing the company professionally at all times.
Qualifications

Valid commercial driving licence (C+E) with a clean driving record.
Proven experience in a similar role
Strong understanding of road safety regulations and best practices for transporting goods.
Ability to lift heavy items and perform physical tasks associated with loading and unloading cargo.
Excellent time management skills with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
Strong communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members.
Must have held CPC for at least 1 year
