Global Business & Document Services Workflow Controller (502, Clerical)
 
Global Business and Document Services (GBDS) requires a Workflow Controller to act as the first point of contact for all incoming work requests via the Bank Street Production Centre.
The Workflow Controller will be the primary decision maker in estimation and review of the client job requests, reviewing the job request details and determining the next course of action required. Key to this role is experience from a wide range of print operations, enabling the Workflow Controller to make the right decisions when estimating the work requests and considering the production impact. In addition to industry expertise and experience is the ability to communicate, negotiate and liaise with customers in a highly professional manner, ensuring that customer service is at the forefront of the service delivery provided.
 
Workflow Controller Key Competencies
 
· To ensure quality control prior to moving to production, and before delivery to the end user, providing experienced insight into quality management procedures
· To maintain an organised and controlled workflow throughout the shift, communicating with both customers and the production teams to maintain a continuous flow of production output
· To act as a key contributor to team communications, planning meetings and project discussions to provide specialist input when planning for production capacity
· Clear, consistent and balanced communicator, creating a controlled and calm working environment
· To document in a clear and concise manner when conducting shift handovers to maintain operational consistency across all shifts
· The ability to provide solutions and possible alternatives to improve the customer experience
· Attention to detail and the ability to capture, analyse and review metrics
· Client focused approach and point of contact for the LOB’s, maintain and build business relationships
· Self motivated with the ability work by self and as part of a larger team
· Flexible to work in an ever changing environment with a desire to learn new skillsWorkflow Controller Key Skills
 
· Minimum 5 years experience in the print industry covering all aspects of the end to end process including digital print, prepress and finishing
· Proficient in job planning with the ability to review and analyse a high volume of work requests and provide anticipated production time promptly and accurately
· Strong in customer service with excellent communication skills, both verbally and through written communications
· Good negotiation skills to support the demanding work request schedule
· Excellent team player with the ability to build relationships across production priorities
· The ability to plan and prioritise in a demanding environment
 
Requirements
 
· Able to demonstrate leadership, communication and people skills
· Excellent time management and organizational skills
· Good working knowledge of key Microsoft programs
· Experience with handling client requests/issues and managing products and service expectations
· Organized and efficient with self-motivation
· Managing change, process and staff development
