HGV Class II Driver

Choose a career with the UK’s biggest independent drainage specialist

The Lanes Group needs HGV Class II Drivers to join our water jetting teams to join our growing depot network.

The job:

Due to continued growth and development, we are looking to recruit HGV Class II drivers to join us, the role will involve reactive and planned works. You will visit different types of clients and sites, from private domestic, commercial, residential, to industrial.

About you:

You’ll already be familiar with high pressure jetting equipment, but you may not have drainage experience. That’s OK — we’re happy to train you to the appropriate standard.

You’ll need an HGV Class 2 licence with no more than 6 penalty points, have completed a Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC)

You’ll be polite and respectful when dealing with customers and the public, and observe all health and safety procedures. And you’ll love working outdoors. Being flexible is essential too: we operate 24/7 so there will be early starts, weekend working and an out-of-hours call-out rota.

We are looking for owner-drivers, fleet owners, and HGV drivers (Class 1 or 2) based anywhere in the UK and interested in taking the next step up and becoming owner-operators and transport company owners. To get started and apply for an Operator’s Licence, you need to have £8,000 which is a requirement of the UK and EU transport regulations (you won’t spend it). We can help you with the rest of the process.
